Fresha alternative for Cyprus salons and barbers
Fresha is the best-known salon app in Limassol and across Europe: a consumer marketplace, card payments at the desk, memberships and gift cards. On its EU price list (checked 2026-10-16) the Independent plan is €12.95 a month for one person and the Team plan €8.95 a month per bookable team member, before VAT; card payments are 1.29% + €0.20, and a one-time fee applies to brand-new clients who find you through the Fresha marketplace.
What Fresha does better
- A marketplace and app where people already search for salons, barbers and massage in Limassol — it brings new clients a small business cannot reach alone.
- Card terminals, Tap to Pay, Klarna and a point of sale at the desk; we deliberately take no card payments at all.
- Deep salon tools: processing and finishing times, patch tests, consultation forms, memberships, packages and gift cards.
- Team tools on the Team plan: pay runs, timesheets and commissions.
Base as a Fresha alternative
- One subscription per business, not per bookable team member: the Free plan covers 2 staff accounts, Standard (€19 a month) up to 10.
- No commission on any booking. Every client who books through your page is yours, whichever link they came from — reviewers on Capterra and Software Advice report marketplace fees on clients who reached them through their own link.
- A salon that also rents equipment, runs classes or sends people to a customer’s address uses the same calendar — the booking engine is not limited to beauty.
- Booking pages and the console in English, Greek and Russian, with two-way Google or Microsoft calendar sync on every plan.

Choose Fresha if new clients from its marketplace and card payments at the desk are what you need most.
Choose Base if your clients already find you, if you want one flat plan for the whole team without booking commissions, or if you book more than appointments.

Does Base charge for new clients?
No. There is no marketplace fee and no commission: the plan is the whole price.
Can I take card payments in Base?
Payment happens between you and the client — at your terminal or by bank transfer — and Base records it on the booking. It never processes the card.
Can I move my Fresha clients?
Export your client list from Fresha as a spreadsheet and import it; the switch page explains what comes across and what stays manual.
Is there a free plan?
Yes: Free at €0 for up to 2 staff accounts and 5 bookable items, with no trial clock.
